Giacomo Puccini La Boheme
Thoroughly confident from the word go was the American soprano Catherine
Naglestad's Musetta, another house debut and a striking one. She resisted
the all-too-facile temptation to overplay in the Cafe Momus scene and
sang with refreshing respect for the letter of score. I look forward to
hearing her in a bigger role.
The Sunday Telegraph
Another powerful voice is Catherine Naglestad. Her Musetta, a vivacious,
confident, and witty creation steals the show ... She makes the transition
to sensitive, caring friend with ease.
Time Out
The Royal Opera House's production of La Boheme may be 26 years old, but
there's not a cobweb in sight in this glitte- ring revival. ... but even
they are upstaged by the comedic talents of American soprano Catherine
Naglestad, whose Musetta manages to be hilariously capricious.
